- manage and maintain VMWare/ESXi virtualised infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability
- oversee the operational aspects, including availability, monitoring, performance, and security of the IT infrastructure
- oversee the administration of Windows Server operating systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- demonstrate effective time-management skills, encompassing day-planning, task prioritization, and timely submission of timesheets to management
- plan and execute migrations and upgrades of server environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
- manage and coordinate the technical facets of projects, adhering to frameworks such as PRINCE2 and providing progress reports
- collaborate with the IT team to assess and address legacy systems and infrastructure, implementing improvements and best practices
- evaluate and analyse new products, presenting findings to management within a suitable framework
Requirements
- experienced with Windows Server environments and Windows 10 clients
- windows Server
- proficiency in IP Networks for data and voice
- VMware
- experience in designing and implementing network architectures, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IPv4 / IPv6, VPN
- firewall configuration and maintenance
- expertise in Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
- strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing
