Responsibility

  • ensuring that site sampling and laboratory testing is carried out to high standards of quality & safety
  • ensuring that the paperwork is filled out in time and correctly to meet the UKAS Standard requirements
  • all equipment is to be kept clean and well maintained
  • experience within materials testing/recognising the type of material on site
  • proficient in using CBR, plate bearing, Electric and Nuclear density testing equipment
  • proficiency in testing concrete and sampling; Slumps, flow tests, segregation & bleed, cube & cylinder making, etc
  • reporting the results accordingly to the company systems in place
  • ensuring that the equipment being used for testing is checked for calibration and working correctly prior and after testing is carried out on site
