My wife worked for these scumbags for three months. She slipped on ice walking to work and shattered her elbow. 4 hours of surgery for an elbow replacement and enforced six weeks recuperation. She was dying to get back to work, excited when given all clear. Walked in first day back, to be fired on the spot. Made too many mistakes apparently! Nothing had been raised beforehand, utter waffle! Apparently, owner just didn't like her and how dare she be off sick

Is that even legal? Can you fire someone right after being sick? Maybe it's a good idea to report somewhere such a fact. I don't think it should be allowed, especially in 2024
