Requirements
- 6-months to 1-year laboratory experience e.g. chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology
- fundamental understanding of Good Laboratory Practice and safe working
- experience working within a team
- proven ability to prioritize and manage workload
- ability to precisely and accurately follow SOP’s and laboratory protocols e.g. solvent, buffers, media preparation
- working knowledge of standard laboratory equipment to undertake general equipment maintenance and safety checks
- meticulous attention to detail and concern for high standards
- good verbal and written communication skills to liaise with colleagues
Responsibility
- replenish stock of consumable items, solvents, etc. within the lab
- prepare stocks of buffers, reagents, etc. and ensure they are available and in date
- contribute to overall laboratory efficiency
- update maintenance logs
- clean the floors, sinks and maintain tidy bench areas
