Responsibility
- measure and cut fabric according to specifications and patterns
- sew garments and alterations with precision, ensuring quality craftsmanship
- maintain sewing machines and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition
- collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice on fabric and design choices
- keep an organised workspace and manage inventory of materials and supplies
Requirements
- minimum 10-15 year’s experience working in ready to wear or tailoring & luxury menswear products
- extensive experience working in a luxury company that creates all menswear wardrobe styles
- strong understanding of structure and garment construction, patterns and fit
- confident in handling luxury fabrics, specifically silk and cashmere
- excellent knowledge of tailoring techniques
- have a delicate handle for fabrics when sewing and achieve the utmost highest quality possible, whilst being precise
- accustomed to working to deadlines and being able to multitask across changing priorities
- flexibility required at peak times to manage workload
