- significant experience in the fields of youth work, parent work or community development *D
- ability to communicate effectively with young people, staff, stakeholders, community leaders, volunteers including excellent written and verbal communication skills. *E
- competent in writing reports for a range of different audiences *E
- used to writing reports for a range of audiences and settings, including child protection or other statutory reports. *D
- experience of working with babies, children and parents. *E
- knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage framework/Birth to 3/ O- 5 child development. *D
- QCF level 4/NVQ Level 3 Information, Advice & Guidance, Health, Social Care or equivalent for working with young people and/or families. *E
Responsibility
- to foster relationships and develop champions within community-based organisations, such as youth, housing, schools, leisure etc, faith leaders, voluntary sector and community leaders that lead to positive engagement of the community
- to undertake project work as required by the Young Women’s Outreach Project, including the management and co-ordination of activities and community events
- to act in accordance with, and actively promote, all Young Women’s Outreach
- to assist with planning, coordination and execution of activities and events to support community engagement
