Requirements
fully qualified electrician
compliance with 17th Edition IEE regulations
full, UK Driving Licence
an excellent understanding of planning and scheduling of work processes
A recognised apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical or dual skilled engineering to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent
A recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or dual skilled engineering to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent
must be a fully qualified industrial electrician
ability to take responsibility make decisions and uses initiative, working proactively
Responsibility
maintaining, repairing and installing electrical equipment on various assets types and locations, often in challenging conditions
producing high quality work, working with mechanical, instrumentation technicians and operations staff
able to work well and safely as part of a team or as an individual
proactively identifying and preventing mechanical failures in a timely manner
carrying out like for like installations, refurbishment and assist with commissioning equipment to specification and on time
installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems generally
reading and interpreting engineering drawings of various equipment to ensure correct tolerance and fits are maintained for efficient plant operation
ensuring the correct Health & Safety, procurement and administration procedures are followed on every job, including up to date information required for Welsh Water waste key performance indicators
