Responsibility
- ensuring all vehicles are checked and cleaned to a high standard to present a professional image to customers
- ensure that all rental vehicles have a signed rental check sheet and rental agreement at collection and delivery
- to ensure LRQA and ISO standards are always adhered to contributing to the retention of these schemes
- assisting with internal and external audits and taking specific actions as instructed where non-conformances occur
- act in a courteous and professional manner whilst maintaining a high level of personal appearance and wearing company uniform at all times
- ensuring the yard is free from obstruction and that parking is controlled
- ensuring all vehicles are SQI checked prior to delivery, reporting any defects in line with the SQI checklist to ensure that all vehicles are legally compliant
- to ensure vehicles are collected or delivered in line with the customers and employers’ expectations to ensure high levels of customer service and customer retention
Requirements
- have a minimum of 1-year experience driving commercial vehicles
- have a minimum of Class 2 licence – Class 1 is preferred
- confident working on various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor units and hooking up to trailers
- current Driver CPC
- attention to detail for completion of all paperwork
- ability to carry out vehicle walk-around checks & note any/potential defects
- driving: 1 year
