Working hours

Responsibility
- being the shift lead and coaching and mentoring the support workers on shift with you
- to encourage the children to do activities and take responsibility for their own lives depending on their age
- to keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes
- to be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed
- protect children from risks to their health and welfare
- provide support for the children in the home and to promote their independence and well-being
- maintain a safe environment for the children
- supporting taxing behaviour safely and sympathetically
Requirements
- experience as a Senior Support Worker in a similar setting is essential
- enhanced DBS Certificate
- level 3 Diploma in Health and Social care or equivalent
- 2 years minimum experience working with Children in a residential setting
- after submitting your CV you will be sent an application form to be completed prior to interview
- senior role in Ofsted registered childrens home: 1 year
- senior role in Ofsted registered childrens home: 2 years
- residential support: 2 years
