Responsibility
- roofing of all types of buildings, but mostly pitched roofs using traditional materials, such as slate and clay tiles etc
- liaise on a daily basis with the management team to update on progress and to order materials etc as required
- read and interpret technical drawings
- understand building codes and regulations
- use a variety of tools to cut, shape, and join materials
- operate cutting equipment such as Stihl Saws and Angle Grinders etc
- ensure that all safety protocols are followed
- inspect completed projects and carry out any snagging in advance of management quality assurance checks and handover to the client etc
Requirements
- we are looking for an experienced Roofer to join our current team
- roofing: 3 years
- roofing: 5 years
- wigwam Roofing is a new company established within the last year off the back of our existing established, and well regarded construction company - Wigwam Architecture & Build Ltd
- commencing in early January 2024! This is a full time position
- our clients expect the best standards of works and hence we require only skilled roofers to apply. Most of our works will be heritage based works or re-roofing using new and reclaimed slates along with clay pantiles and clay plain tiles etc
- the ideal candidate must be very competent in all aspects of pitched roofing, slating, tiling, leadwork etc. Experience in flat roofing would be beneficial but is not a requirement
