bookkeeper
Working hours
- part-time
Responsibility
- preparation of VAT returns
- preparation of regular financial statements for review by the Club’s Treasure and submission to the Committee
- preparation of annual budgets and updating forecasts for review by the Club’s Treasurer
- preparation of supporting schedules in support of the annual audit
- liaison with external parties – bank, auditors, HMRS etc
- maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy of the processing of all financial transactions at the club. Responsible for the maintenance of appropriate financial control and ensuring authorisation of expenditure by the directors
- ad hoc reporting from Intelligent Golf as required by Sub-committee Chairs
- monitoring cash levels and assisting Treasurer with forecasting
Requirements
- appropriate qualification in Business Administration or Accounting
- extensive relevant work experience
- excellent knowledge of general accounting
- knowledge of Xero accounting software
- knowledge of regulatory requirements
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- self-motivated with excellent time management skills
