architectural technician
Responsibility
- deliver projects through all RIBA stages from conception to completion
- supporting senior members of the team through all RIBA stages from conception to completion
- interpreting client requirements and integrating them into the project concept
- assist in the development of detailed technical drawings and specifications
- conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and ensure design feasibility
- A good understanding of building regulations
- use creative, innovative design to achieve practical solutions tailored to each project
- produce informative and well-presented information through drawings, models and written documents
Requirements
- ARB registered Architect with minimum 2 years’ experience or at least Part 2 qualified with several years’ experience
- minimum RIBA Part 1 Degree in Architecture
- A proficient user of AutoCAD and confident working knowledge of SketchUp
- good technical abilities in AutoCAD and working knowledge of SketchUp
- good knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and similar programs to assist with the production of exceptional information
- up to date knowledge of relevant regulations, building codes, and best practices through proactive reading, learning and research
- excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- excellent client facing communication skills to present ideas, schemes and designs effectively
