VOLUNTARY NORFOLK is looking for employees for positions:

Working hours

  • part-time

Responsibility

  • fixed term until 31 March 2025 with extension subject to commissioning
  • to widely communicate and celebrate the benefits and positive outcomes of volunteering within the community
  • to develop links with other support services to encourage a multi-disciplinary approach and to support the team to develop local networks
  • to promote the service through public speaking, presentations, social media, print and online publicity materials
  • to lead and manage the volunteer service on a day to day basis, communicating and building relationships within Commissioners, Partners, Stakeholders and other VN teams
  • to recruit, train and supervise volunteer coordinators/connectors in order to achieve performance outcomes in line with service level agreements and contractual requirements
  • to manage the work of volunteer coordinators/connectors, including providing support with shaping role descriptions for volunteers; volunteer recruitment and training/day-today support requirements
  • to work with the volunteer coordinators/connectors to manage their client caseloads, ensuring referrals are dealt with appropriately, safely and in a timely manner, in line with service requirement

Requirements

  • the Service Manager is the face of the Volunteer Service, leading development and delivery of the service on a day to day basis, communicating objectives, setting and demonstrating standards, line managing staff and reporting progress
  • you’ll be enthusiastic about the positive impact of volunteering in the community, dedicated to recruiting, training and supporting high quality volunteers, have good communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoy helping others to achieve their goals and make a difference
  • you will work closely with commissioning organisations and partners to build sustainable services that support health, wellbeing and social inclusion and promote the positive impact of volunteers in improving the quality of life of vulnerable people
