Responsibility
- this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an upcoming design studio and contribute to high-profile projects
- we are seeking a talented and motivated Interior Design Assistant to join our dynamic team on a part-time, 3-month contract basis, with the potential for a full-time role
- technical Drawings: Produce detailed technical drawings, elevations, and plans using CAD and SketchUp
- 3D Modelling: Create 3D models and visualizations to support design concepts
- joinery Knowledge: Apply knowledge of joinery in creating and refining design details
- site Experience: Conduct site surveys and support on-site activities as required
- material Knowledge: Source and select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings, ensuring alignment with the design concept
- supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including obtaining quotations and negotiating terms
Requirements
- strong technical drawing skills with proficiency in CAD and SketchUp
- knowledge of joinery and construction techniques
- some experience in site surveys and on-site project support
- solid understanding of materials and sourcing processes
- ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
- creative and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
