laboratory technician
Responsibility
- receive and unpack deliveries
- ensure samples received are handled in accordance with documented procedures
- prepare samples to required standard ready for extraction and clean-up
- perform a range of analytical testing as required by the Management Team to support routine operations
- communicate any operational problems and issues that may affect quality or service delivery to the Management Team
- set up and maintain laboratory equipment
- undertake any tasks within the laboratory appropriate to level of training
- maintain accurate records and stock level as detailed in the quality procedures

- capacity to handle multiple tasks and high levels of workload
- ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise under pressure
