Responsibility
- undertake duties as the primary technician in a two-person team, troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient outcomes
- utilise your expertise to identify and address potential issues, collaborating with team members and stakeholders to implement effective solutions
- perform various clean water services including trunk main isolation, operability checks, asset verification, logger deployment, flushing, and sampling
- monitor flows, pressures, and water quality parameters, utilizing optimization techniques to detect anomalies and ensure optimal performance
- operate clean water assets such as valves and hydrants, working with both large diameter trunk mains and smaller distribution mains
- conduct comprehensive site assessments using GIS plans, site schematics, and other reference documents, including risk assessments and survey reports
- this is a varied field-based Water Network Field Technician role primarily based in and around the M25, with occasional work in the Thames Valley region
- perform risk and hazard inspections, delivering detailed reports to project teams in client-ready formats
Requirements
- minimum 3 years practical, clean water industry field experience
- first-person lead on trunk main isolations on large diameter mains
- EUSR Water Hygiene
- valve operations including CALM Networks
- NRSWA Operative
- IT proficient including Office365, GIS mapping tools, PDA/Tablet use and online reporting software
- full, clean UK driving license
- practical, clean water industry field: 1 year
