Responsibility
- analyse departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities and boost productivity and efficiency
- leading and managing the team of developers and testers
- ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs
- defining development strategies, including workflows, frameworks, and tools
- analyse processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement
- estimating, planning, and overseeing all IT development activities
- prepare cost–benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor vendors
- developing secure code in line with company technical standards
Requirements
- five or more years of experience in IT management
- minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the energy/ utility industry
- proven experience managing people
- considerable experience of delivering systems written in ASP .NET, MVC, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and SQL
- familiarity with BI technologies
- knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies
- IT developer and leadership experience
- knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services
