Responsibility
- create and maintain weld procedures
- organise weld procedure and welding qualifications
- qualification of new welders to new and existing weld procedures
- maintain welder qualification prolongation
- create and review Weld Maps
- select appropriate weld procedures for production
- liaise directly with the client and internal departments with regards to welding engineering requirements
- ensure that all allocated work scopes are fully compliant with the ISO 3834-2 standard
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Welding Engineer, preferably in a pressure equipment, manufacturing environment
- qualified IWE or EWE with a plan to attain IWE
- experience of working with BS EN ISO 15614-1 and ISO 3834-2 standards
- certified Welding Inspector- CSWIP 3.1 or PCN Welding Inspector Level 2
- experience working within an ASME ‘S’ & ‘U’ stamp quality system
- ability to read and analyse 3.1 material certification
