A Nightmare in Every Aspect – Avoid at All Costs!"**
Working at Union Technical Glasgow has been the single worst experience of my professional life. The workplace is beyond toxic, with a culture of bullying that is not only tolerated but seems to be actively encouraged. From the moment you step in, you're met with an atmosphere of paranoia, with owners who are completely detached from reality and view everyone as a potential threat. The department managers are a joke—spineless, utterly incapable, and more interested in making sure they stay in the good books of the office NEDs who actually run the show.
This company preys on the most vulnerable in society, using cold calls and door-to-door canvassing to push government-funded solar and air source heating schemes. The sales tactics are outright scamming, and employees are pressured into harassing potential customers with no regard for their situation. It's shocking to witness how little the company cares about legal and ethical standards. They break every employment law imaginable, particularly when it comes to discrimination and dismissals. You can forget about fair treatment here—if you're not part of the 'in crowd' or don't play along with their twisted game, you're out.
Training? Non-existent. Bonuses? Don't make me laugh. They dangle the carrot of incentives but never deliver, instead ramping up the pressure to deliver poor customer service that only damages your own reputation. The popular girls in the office are the worst offenders, openly bullying others while management turns a blind eye. It's like being back in high school, only this time the stakes are your livelihood.
As for health and safety, it's a ticking time bomb. There are no method statements, no risk assessments, and the workforce is largely unskilled, thrown into jobs they're not prepared for. You’re sold a dream of a successful career, only to arrive in what can only be described as hell.
Union Technical Glasgow is a sinking ship, and anyone who values their mental health, professional reputation, and basic human dignity should stay far, far away. Working here is nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
