- we are seeking a skilled and motivated Buyer to join our team in Manchester
- source and purchase high-quality clothing and toy products from China
- build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules
- this role is crucial in ensuring we source high-quality products at competitive prices, while maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers
- collaborate with the team to identify trends and ensure product selection aligns with market demand
- monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products
- evaluate and select new suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor products, and supplier innovations
Requirements
- fluency in both Chinese and English is essential
- proven experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably within the clothing or retail industry
- strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting supplier relationships
- knowledge of import/export regulations and experience working with Chinese suppliers
- ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
