Responsibility

  • we are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join our busy garden centre restaurant catering team
  • the successful candidate needs to be able to engage with our team and customers
  • the position will be full time and will involve working at weekends
  • experience of high-volume / retail catering is required
  • assisting with food ordering and stock control
  • food preparation on a daily basis
  • menu planning
  • managing a team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in food preparation or equivalent
  • extensive relevant catering experience
  • proven ability to manage a team, staff shifts and rotas
  • good communication and IT skills
  • basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • chef: 2 years
