Responsibility
- manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfilment
- supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures
- implement and maintain Warehouse Management Systems to optimise workflow and inventory accuracy
- coordinate with transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery of goods
- oversee the maintenance and operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory audits to prevent discrepancies
- develop and execute strategies for continuous improvement in warehouse processes
- collaborate with supply chain teams to enhance logistics efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
- proficient in shipping and receiving processes with a strong understanding of logistics principles
- experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Transportation Management Systems
- familiarity with AS400 systems is advantageous
- strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
- ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently; relevant certifications are a plus
