Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • you will be a member of the team responsible for providing 24-hour security for our buildings
  • you will need to be able to obtain satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure for this position
  • the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts is recognised as a world leading centre of excellence for creative learning and vocational training within the performing arts and creative economies

  • as well as carrying out routine patrols of the buildings, grounds and monitoring unauthorised parking, you will also carry out reception duties during the day and act as a first aider in the workplace
  • as you will be our first point of contact for our visitors you will need to be able to create a good first impression, have good interpersonal skills, tact and when necessary, firmness in dealing with a variety of situations
  • CV’s will not be accepted as we are a Higher Education Institute
  • experience of this kind of work will be advantageous as would SIA certification. An ability to be flexible, work 12-hour shift patterns is essential, as is computer literacy
