Responsibility
- preparation of monthly management accounts and presenting to the Finance Controller
- aiding in the preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts in conjunction with budget holders
- management of budgets held by the Finance Controller and the Finance department
- leading the month and year end processes – including reconciliations and intercompany transactions and collating information for the monthly management accounts pack for review
- review and authorisation of payments and liaising with the Treasury department as required
- provide guidance to the Finance Executive in preparing VAT Returns, payroll processing, and other areas of finance work
- preparing and completing the financial year end ; preparation of audit file, reconciliation and preparation of financial statements, financial accounting policy recommendations, liaison with auditors
- in conjunction with tax advisors, assist the Finance Controller in preparation of work required for annual corporate tax computations, tax returns and tax planning
Requirements
- accounting qualification
- experience of preparing management accounts and financial statements
- understanding of management accounts preparation and uses
- experience of Charity SORP
- experience with accounting software packages, ideally SAGE
- experience of tax, including creative industry reliefs
- A desire to learn and work proactively
- attention to detail
