teaching assistant
Responsibility
- deliver high-quality one-on-one alternative teaching for pupils with SEN, Social, Mental and Emotional Health needs
- work flexibly across various locations, including schools, pupil homes, and external venues
- employ creative and engaging teaching methods to cater to pupils outside mainstream education
- support and guide students in developing identified areas of weakness
- collaborate with the Alternative Provision Lead, parents, schools, and authorities
Requirements
- recent experience teaching SEN students up to KS4
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to adapt materials and teaching styles to individual needs
- commitment to safeguarding and following relevant policies
- reliable travel to multiple schools across the city
