Responsibility
- provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner
- engage with customers to understand their needs, offer product recommendations, and provide detailed information about our convenience store products
- maintain a tidy and organized sales floor, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and products are attractively displayed
- process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise
- stay up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and regulations related to convenience store items
- collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the store
- maintain a safe and clean working environment, following all health and safety guidelines
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
Requirements
- previous retail experience, preferably in a convenience store or related industry
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers in a friendly and informative manner
- strong interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with customers and providing outstanding service
- A chatty and engaging personality that creates a positive and welcoming atmosphere
- proficiency in social media platforms and experience using them to promote products or engage with customers
- basic computer skills, including experience with point-of-sale systems
- knowledge of convenience store products, including groceries, snacks, beverages, personal care items, and related industry trends is desirable
- A passion for the retail industry and a genuine interest in assisting customers with their needs
