A degree in music or music education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A deep understanding of music theory concepts and various teaching methods

A friendly, enthusiastic, and patient approach to teaching, with an ability to inspire young musicians
Responsibility
you will have access to all necessary resources, including instruments, teaching materials, and technology, to ensure success in the classroom
we are looking for an experienced music theory teacher with a passion for sharing their knowledge and creativity while working with children aged 4 to 16
our ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching piano-based music theory to young learners and be able to foster an engaging, exciting, and fun learning environment
as our music theory teacher, you must be charismatic, adaptable, and able to work effectively under pressure while ensuring that personalized attention is given to each student in the group
your primary responsibility will be conducting group lessons, teaching music theory to pupils ranging from 4-7 pm during term time Monday-Saturday if available
the lessons will be focused on teaching piano-based music theory concepts at various levels, from beginners to advanced, with the key aim of developing a deep understanding and appreciation for music in each child
to achieve this, you will craft interactive and engaging lesson plans that cater to each student’s learning style, pace, and musical interests
in addition to group lessons, there may be opportunities for you to offer one-on-one instrumental sessions outside of the core teaching hours
