- to take booking via telephone, letter or fax entering the correct details into the computer system
- update reservations where necessary- either amendments or cancellations
- to ensure that all bookers are aware of the hotel policy concerning credit and release times
- to assist the controlling of business mix and room rates as instructed by Manager/Head of Department
- maintain filing system containing all correspondence relating to all reservations taken
- ensure procedures are carried out to support best practice for our M&E office
- effectively communicate with reception concerning special request booking or last minute charges
Requirements
- having a strong understanding of Opera system
- experience in managing both individuals and groups enquiries
- as the hotel’s level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours
- opera: 1 year
- in line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process
