Responsibility
- the Economist is a global news company covering international business and world affairs, first published in 1843
- we deliver our content through a wide range of formats from the magazine, a website and mobile app, film and audio
- we’re looking to hire a multi-discipline design role in our editorial offices in central London
- the editorial graphics team comprises creative designers for both print and digital channels as well as picture editors
- the graphics team works closely with editors, picture editors as well as digital product and social media teams
- you should also demonstrate a keenness to learn how to get the most from a modern editorial production system
- we are looking for someone who will primarily work on the print and layout side which involves artwork commissioning and helping to manage the pages each week through to production

Requirements
- self-motivated team player with the ability to perform well under pressure
- relevant experience in a similar environment
- experience of working with an editorial product
- an interest in global politics and current affairs
- friendly and receptive demeanour
- A design degree or equivalent qualification
- the right to live and work in the UK
- monday-Friday with some press day variations and the possibility of some weekend overtime
