I bought a bmw 1 series from The Carcartel which, on the day of collection, found to have an issue with locking the door. This turned out to be an issue requiring a new Head Unit and fem module, the latter of which was on back order from BMW. I waited then 2 months to get my car back. The dealer did pay for this. The issue I have was that I was sold the car with a 3 month warranty. After 2 months, I had an issue with acceleration. I had a garage produce a report on the car. The engine was worn out with timing chain rattle. Suspension and steering needed replacing. The clutch and flywheel needed replacing and many other faults.
I was relieved to have a warranty that was still in date. Unfortunately, On calling the company, I found out that the Carcartel had not set up the warranty that they had sold me the car with. I had a bill of £7000 to fix the faults with the vehicle. The Carcartel ignored all my messages after promising to add a warranty after Christmas to correct their earlier mistake.
