I would like to leave a fantastic review for the company because they have been very helpful and professional in my whole employment process.
I started off getting trained once I completed my interview and received my care certificates. I then passed my reference check and enhanced DBS and was placed with shifts within 3 weeks.
In the shifts I was shadow working for 2 weeks and was then able to work independently. The company is in constant contact with me making sure I am working well and happily.
I could not speak more highly of aurum care.
Did you pay for the training after interviews. I am hesitating. I have never experienced that. I want a point of view from someone who got the job through them

A company named Aurum Care situated in Luton has been advertising a job position for a Health Care Assistant, requiring candidates to attend an interview. Upon arrival, they insist that a training program is mandatory and demand an upfront payment of £100 for this training.
Unfortunately, this training program never materializes, and the money paid is not refunded. They claim to offer an NVQ Level 3 training program but fail to provide the promised course or any form of training. This has led to a loss of money and time for many, including myself.
What's the recruitment process? Is this company legit? Is it a care home or agency?
When reading reviews that seem overly positive, it's essential to approach them with caution and conduct further investigations. My experience with Aurum Care, a company that operates a £99 scheme, serves as a cautionary tale. I can say with certainty that since I first contacted them on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, I have not received a single follow-up or call from either of the two individuals running this enterprise.
Buyers, beware! This operation feels like a trap that will effortlessly snatch away your £99 without a shred of remorse. Their model exploits vulnerable individuals, particularly immigrants living far from Luton, by inviting them for interviews, collecting their £99, and ultimately delivering training certificates that are utterly worthless—so inadequate that you wouldn't even be able to secure a job as a cleaner at a place like Asda.
One telling aspect of their operation is the lack of direct contact information; they do not provide personal phone numbers, making it nearly impossible to reach them for any follow-up or inquiries. This level of secrecy raises red flags and indicates potential deceit.
In summary, I urge you to stay vigilant and skeptical. If something sounds too good to be true, it often is. Take the time to investigate thoroughly before parting with your money. You might be facing a scam—so I recommend you run far from this one!

I came all the way from Gravesend to Luton for interview after which I was lured to pay £100 for training and came the next week for training, also spent money to buy train ticket to and fro…We were told they will get back to us in two weeks, they only issued a soft copy certificate via email …I have not heard from them since September 2024….You guys are really mean to prey on innocent people this way…

I went there from Birmingham for interview, immediately I was told that I passed the interview and I need to pay £100 for uniform and training. I paid immediately on my way back to train station I came to my senses and I realised that this is (deleted by the administrator). I went back immediately for the refund of my money that I don't have interest again because I can not come again for training. They transfer my money back to me.
Please beware of this company!!!
I went there same experience in paid £100 for training and uniform they promised they will send the uniform to me and will give me shift for a job but I only got to my senses days after. They have not gotten back to me it's a big (deleted by the administrator)

I went for an interview with Aurum care 17th of September 2024 and after the interview, I was asked to pay for some working tools such as two working uniforms £100
And that was the last I heard of them.
Having read all the reviews here, as a critical thinker that I am, I have carefully compared the number of positive and negative comments about the Aurum care. The negative comments read above is a red flag to me therefore this has made me to conclude that I won't be attending their interview as scheduled for me this week.
It is better to avoid story that touch than going all the way to Luton for an interview which will not have a positive reward. It's even wayward to to expect an applicant to travel far distance for an interview.

I have seen a bad review but I had to come on here and say I couldnt disagree more as the process I followed was smooth, easy and fast.
The company were true to their word and followed up my interview and training with placement within 3 weeks after my references passed all my checks.

You absolutely did the right thing by speaking up. I was lured into their dragnet in December 2024 and they showed no mercy on us, after wasting nearly 24hrs of our time; they still persist to corner our £99. The day of judgment is now come upon their (deleted by the administrator)and by putting the word out; we will be able to protect others (deleted by the administrator)

I have paid £99.99 using my last money in my account to secure a job with Aurum care (or so I thought).
I have been calling and sending emails and no one responds. Only one time I got an email back from info….saying that the HR are working on a lot of candidates. I was given an invoice, a lot of us were…OMG, I can’t believe this is happening.(deleted by the administrator)

Got to find out that they never sent a reference form to my former place of work, as they said they would.

Phone lines are not working and is very difficult to communicate with them.
Professional service given by aurum overall 10/10 for all angles I was covered in my process of training and employment.
They go the extra mile for things you would not expect.
All was provided clearly and efficiently.

Overall I am very happy with my experience so far. Even though I have only been working for 3 weeks. I have never worked so many shift since come to the uk. I appreciate these people and honour their promise to me.

Fantastic hospitality from aurum from start to finish in my onboarding process as a carer
I'd like to add a really positive experience I had with Aurum Care during my time there.
I was there for 1 years before moving location and through out the staff were very helpful and friendly and always there to help. I had situations where I needed to accommodate my shifts to childcare and they always did their best to work around this.
The process was also very smooth after completing my interview training and reference checks the shifts were regular within weeks.
I would always speak highly of my time at aurum care.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding the certificate issued by Aurum Care, which I recently attempted to use for employment purposes.
Unfortunately, my application was rejected outright when submitted to an online portal. This has caused significant frustration, as it appears that the certificate does not hold any value in the job market. The time and resources spent—nearly 24 hours, in addition to a fee of £100—have ultimately been in vain.
Aurum has been a fantastic organisation to work for from start to finish they were helpful in the recruitment process.
Staff are friendly and management has been in constant contact with me since I started working in the care home in Lincoln.
