We are seeking talented, caring and compassionate individuals who will make a difference to the lives of the residents we care for at Rawyards House Care HomeACCOUNTABLE TO: HOME MANAGERHOURS OF DUTY: 40 Hours per week minimum as required to meet the needs of the Home.QUALIFICATIONS: Registered nurse with experience caring for the Service User group, and knowledge and experience of working in the Care sectorJOB PURPOSE: To support the Home Manager by leading the clinical management of the home. To assume responsibilities of the Manager in his/her absence. To create and maintain an environment which respects the rights and wishes of the residents and encourages person centred care and independence.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssume overall responsibility for clinical issues within the HomeAssist in the overall management of the Home promoting a homely, safe environment with a focus on quality care provision.Be conversant with the Abbey Healthcare’s policies and procedures and the regulatory framework with which the home is required to comply and ensure that the home operates in accordance with these.Ensure care practices are reflective of the requirements of the statutory bodies and the latest research, and that such practices are reviewed and developed regularly, in order to ensure best practiceEnsure a system is in place that promotes residents’ participation in the planning and reviewing of care, maintain an efficient system for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating careEnsure an appropriate exchange of information between all grades of staff to promote continuity of careLiase with relevant parties in order to facilitate service user care and well-beingReport any actual or potential shortfalls in the provision of service user care to the Home Manager or Regional Manager
