Responsibility
- prepare estimates for all construction costs, including site abnormals, professional fees, site management costs, and preliminaries
- input development costs into appraisals/viabilities and support "value engineering" exercises
- provide information for land purchase exercises
- identify scheme abnormals, prepare estimates of prime costs, and maintain master appraisal costs
- liaise with various departments to achieve a viable final cost position
- prepare Group viabilities for all acquisitions
- calculate prime costs on developments, reporting any cost changes since the land purchase exercise
- provide a detailed "pre-start" appraisal and track cost movements to site commencement
Requirements
- industry-related business qualification
- valid CSCS card
- in-depth understanding of current market conditions and rates
- strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail for data interpretation and presentation
- methodical, organized, and dedicated to delivering high standards
- proficiency in IT, including project management, payment, and valuation software
- articulate, clear, and credible, with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- self-motivated and able to work independently
