Responsibility

  • we are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Science Teacher to join an outstanding secondary school
  • this role requires a deep understanding of scientific concepts, strong instructional abilities, and the ability to create a positive learning environment
  • plan and deliver comprehensive science lessons in line with the school curriculum, utilising a variety of teaching strategies and resources
  • foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and active participation in scientific exploration
  • develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special educational needs
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student achievement, attendance, and behaviour
  • as a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective science lessons, fostering a passion for scientific inquiry, and supporting the academic and personal development of students

Requirements

  • qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching certification
  • proven experience teaching science at the secondary level, preferably within a similar educational context
  • strong subject knowledge and a deep understanding of scientific concepts across multiple disciplines
  • excellent instructional skills, including the ability to communicate complex scientific ideas in a clear and accessible manner
  • ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and achievement
  • effective classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain a disciplined and orderly learning environment
  • bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in Education or a specialised area of Science is preferred
  • exceptional organisational and time-management skills to effectively plan lessons, manage resources, and assess student work
