Responsibility
- lead and motivate a team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
- ensure smooth daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and maintaining cleanliness and organization
- monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure adequate stock of supplies and ingredients
- maintain a high standard of food quality, presentation, and service, adhering to health and safety regulations. Leasing with Head Chef
- handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed customer expectations
- implement and uphold company policies and procedures, including cash handling and POS system management
- collaborate with the management team to develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain customers
- monitor financial performance, analyse sales data, and implement strategies to optimise profitability. Monitor spending and wage costs
Requirements
- previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a café or restaurant setting
- strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service and handle challenging situations with tact and professionalism
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
