- as a Kitchen Porter it is your role to keep the kitchen a hygienic and safe working environment
- to prepare the kitchen for the arrival of chefs

- thoroughly cleaning down designated areas of the kitchen at the end of the working day
- to ensure crockery and cooking utensils are cleaned and properly stored throughout the day
- preparation of some ingredients
- accept kitchen deliveries, putting food and non-food items away as directed, ensuring stock is correctly rotated and labelled if necessary
- help to minimise food wastage
