- the role involves a combination of reactive and planned maintenance on the facility
- the position involves providing support to the manufacturing business covering a full range of maintenance to all of the site’s equipment
- you will collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for improving plant productivity
- you will maintain the production lines in an efficient fashion, ensuring that downtime is minimised through quick and efficient troubleshooting
- it will be your responsibility to ensure the availability of spare parts, materials, and equipment
- you will have proven experience in diagnosing faults and performing production equipment maintenance covering both mechanical and electrical issues
- the role requires someone who can work both mechanical and electrical maintenance so you should have a relevant electrical qualification
- the shift pattern is continuous, day and night shift pattern from 7am-7pm then 7pm-7am on a 4-shifts-on, 4-shifts-off basis

- to succeed in this role, you should be multi-skilled with a preference for electrical expertise
- the position will also involve working on a variety of projects such as supporting on process improvement plans

- as a multi-skilled engineer, your primary focus will be to work closely with the production team to ensure minimal machinery downtime and conduct proactive maintenance to avoid disruption in production
- root cause analysis and resolution of any manufacturing losses related to planned maintenance and supply of machinery components
- you will be working on relays, motors, invertors, drives, and have the ability to work quickly and accurately in order to get the equipment operational again as soon as possible

- mechanically, you should be competent in working on drive train systems, rollers, gearboxes, shafts, pneumatics, and some hydraulics

- you should have the ability to disassemble machine assemblies to the component level and rebuild them
- ensuring critical spares are maintained and that repairs are carried out promptly and efficiently
- you will also perform a rigorous schedule of preventative maintenance in order to minimise production down time and increase the output for the site
- liaise and support on site contractors as and when required
- you will investigate and determine the causes of breakdowns and machinery speed losses, keeping detailed records of repairs to identify recurrent faults
- prior experience in maintenance engineering is essential, and the ability to work independently and take initiative is crucial
- you will also undergo a schedule of planned preventative maintenance with a proactive approach to improving the efficiency and productivity of the operation
- adherence to site health and safety and legislative requirements
- the successful candidate will be an experienced Engineer who can turn their hand to both mechanical and electrical work, with an electrical qualification
- electrically, you should be proficient in fault finding on single and three-phase systems, servo motors, AC motors, sensors, and various control systems
- the job would suit an Engineer who is multi-skilled and has experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing environment. The position is on a 4 on 4 off rotational basis covering both day and night shifts

Requirements
- pasma/IPAF/ 18th Edition or electrically competent
- HND – not essential
- BTEC HND/HNC certificate and diploma in operations and maintenance engineering or a city & guilds certificate in engineering
