- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- ensuring that the Activities, Lifestyle and Wellbeing function in the Home is a 7 day a week service
- ensure the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual needs of the residents are listened to and met
- all engagements must be recorded in each individual’s care plan so we can evidence the work that we do
- responsible for planning the activities and wellbeing schedule and agreeing it in advance with the Home Manager. The schedule must reflect the needs and interests of the residents that we are looking after
- activities should be focussed on group engagements but also on one-to-one quality time, as some of our residents may not wish join in group interactions
- motivate the care team to understand that everyone should be taking part in meaningful engagement and activities with the residents and contribute to the caring culture of the Home
- it is vital that the successful candidate gets to know all our residents and their needs and interests so that we can figure out the best ways to engage with each person as an individual
Requirements
- experience of working in Activities/Wellbeing in a care home environment is essential
- you’ll need to be warm, empathetic and personable to join us as an Activities, Lifestyle and Wellbeing Lead
- experience and training in working with vulnerable adults with dementia would also be extremely advantageous
- experience of leading a team and planning rotas would be advantageous
