Responsibility

  • this role will support the development and delivery of our pharmacy Health and Wellbeing retail Category
  • you will identify and bring onboard new suppliers, managing and developing good working relationships
  • you will negotiate pricing to drive down costs and maximise profits
  • this role will drive profitable sales growth by providing best in market range selection, promotions and category advice to our pharmacy teams, including maximising the effectiveness of the planograms and display solutions
  • you will also manage the product life cycle and category database including identifying trends in the category and introduce/rationalise products as required
  • you will support the execution of agreed supplier joint business plans and initiatives in conjunction with the management team and provide support to our pharmacies
  • gather category and competitor data from internal and external sources and generate business insights that support the development of the Health & Wellbeing retail strategies
  • support pharmacies with their regular range reviews, implementation of planograms and sales advice

Requirements

  • commercial acumen to recognise sales & margin issues & opportunities
  • have strong numerical and analytical skills, is able to collect data from several sources and interpret it
  • to recognise performance indicators and present findings with action recommendations
  • high degree of attention to detail
  • I.T literate
  • flexible with a proven ability to adapt to new challenges
  • strong communication skill and problem solving
  • work well under pressure and ‘can do’ attitude
