SONUS EVENTS is looking for employees for positions:
senior technician
Responsibility
- plan, prepare, and execute AV setups for events, including sound, lighting, video, and staging
- operate Avolites and/or ChamSys lighting desks to an advanced level, ensuring unforgettable event lighting and execution
- lead the onsite team to ensure events are delivered smoothly and to a high standard
- provide technical support during live events, troubleshooting any issues efficiently
- liaise with clients to understand their AV requirements and provide professional advice
- fulfil PM duties if required
- assist warehouse op to maintain and service AV equipment to ensure it is in excellent working condition
- assist with inventory management and logistics to ensure all required equipment is available for events
Requirements
- must fit our ethos, and want to come along on our journey
- proven experience in AV for events, with a strong understanding of sound, lighting, and video systems
- knowledge of event production software and tools
- advanced proficiency in operating Avolites and/or ChamSys lighting desks
- knowledge of Current RMS would be highly desirable
- minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar AV technician role, preferably within the event production industry
- highly self-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- experience in team management or supervisory roles
