Requirements
level 3 childcare/ teaching assistant/ supporting learning and development
previous experience working with young children and a strong understanding of early childhood development
empathy, patience, and a genuine dedication to helping children succeed
level 3 Teaching Assistant/ Childcare – Applications lacking the necessary qualifications will not be taken into consideration
excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
A collaborative and adaptable mindset, with the ability to work as part of a team
A commitment to promoting the well-being and safeguarding of all children
knowledge of SEN practices and strategies is advantageous but not mandatory
Responsibility
provide one-on-one and small group support to children with special educational needs within the EYFS setting
adapt and differentiate learning activities to cater to the diverse abilities and learning styles of the children
foster a nurturing and positive classroom atmosphere that promotes social and emotional development
assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and individualized support strategies
observe and document children's progress, sharing findings with the teaching team and parents when necessary
encourage independence and self-confidence in children while helping them develop essential early skills
collaborate closely with EYFS teachers and SENCo to create an inclusive learning environment that supports the individual needs of all children
support children with special needs in their daily routines and transitions within the EYFS setting
