Responsibility
- lay bricks, stones, and other materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures
- read blueprints or drawings to determine the specifications and materials required
- measure and cut materials to the required size using hand tools or power tools
- mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using a trowel
- align and level bricks or stones using plumb lines, levels, or lasers
- apply mortar between bricks or stones and remove excess mortar using trowels or other tools
- repair or replace damaged bricks or stones as needed
- clean and maintain tools and equipment used in masonry work
Requirements
- proven experience as a brick mason or similar role
- strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
- ability to read blueprints or drawings
- proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to masonry work
- knowledge of welding techniques is a plus
- excellent carpentry skills are beneficial
- plastering: 1 year
- bricklaying: 1 year
