Requirements
- be hard working, creative, and have experience of working in a similar position in a busy environment
- be able to demonstrate good technical skills, and a good understanding of food handling; food hygiene and health and safety
- be passionate about producing good food and excellent service
- have the ability to keep calm if under pressure whilst delivering consistently high-quality food to agreed timescales
- have excellent time management skills
- have excellent organisational, management and communication skills
- HNC or above in Professional Cookery/Culinary Arts would be preferred, but the ability to demonstrate the skills outlined above is just as important
- pay attention to detail to ensure consistent, high standards and demonstrate commitment and loyalty
Responsibility
- manage the kitchen on a day-to-day basis when the Head and Sous Chefs are not on duty
- prepare and cook high quality food for the restaurant, functions, meetings, events and hospitality food on match days
- help with the training, motivation, and management of the catering team, where required
- help to carefully monitor food stocks, ensure good rotation, and minimise waste
- help to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen areas
- working with the Head and Sous Chefs and management team, you will help create and agree exciting menus and food offerings for the various areas of the venue
