Responsibility
- teach Afro dance classes to participants of different age groups and skill levels
- teach Afrobeats and African dance classes to students of different age groups and skill levels
- plan, develop and deliver creative and authentic dance lessons and choreography that showcases the essence of Afrobeats and African dance
- teach a variety of afro and urban dance styles from across africa
- provide constructive feedback and guidance to participants to help them improve their technique and performance
- provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their technique and performance
- maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, teamwork, and cultural appreciation
- collaborate with other instructors and support staff to coordinate schedules and sessions
Requirements
- experience and knowledge in Afrobeats / African dances and music
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with others
- ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for afrobeats and dance
- reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic
- organisational skills to plan lessons, manage schedules, and coordinate performances
- ability to provide constructive feedback in a positive and encouraging manner
- flexibility to work on a freelance/contractual basis, including evenings and some weekends
