DO NOT STAY HERE…. DO NOT STAY HERE…The worst experience we have ever had. We booked the Rita house part of SARAH GORDON PROPERTY SERVICES and were so excited about our regular visit to Yorkshire. Firstly you should know that we live in France and visit Doncaster 3 times per year without any problems. The first problem came when Sarah wasn’t able to accept our payment via debit card because our card is French but obviously still a visa. After 2 days she finally worked it out and the payment was taken over the phone.

Two day before our arrival she called and asked for a £270 security deposit which again I asked to pay over the phone. It didn’t work again. She told me don’t worry it will all be fine because you have stayed with us before. I was reassured… She cam back the next day and said look you have stayed before so we trust you and the house was left perfect the time before so…..

Then the big boy husband chipped in and completely put Sarah down, It's now obvious she can’t think for herself. He told me that someone would meet me at the house and take cash or I could do a bank transfer BUT the transfer would cost £25 because its international.

They left me no choice but to do the transfer. I did it and took a screen shot of the transfer.

On the day of me and my young family arriving I asked for the check in codes but this was again refused by Sarah because the bank transfer didn’t show up (because its international) so I told her where will my family stay tonight? Again I was reassured it would be ok and they would never see us out on the street.

At 1pm I told them that despite paying the deposit I would pay again and meet someone at the house and give them cash BUT I wanted it to be Sarah with her ID because I am not comfortable giving £270 cash to a stranger.

AT 5PM despite all the reassurances and that we had stayed before I was told the booking would be canceled and we would have 0 refund leaving me and my family stood outside.

They had no remorse and didn’t care. I had to then spend hours on the phone to my bank in france getting security codes etc to prove even further we had paid.

There has been no apology, these people are scam artists they just want to take you money and make it as difficult as possible. I give you full warning DO NOT STAY AT ANY OF SARAH GORDONS PROPERTIES
