Responsibility

• preparing the shop before opening
• filling cake sponge with fresh cream and spread so they are ready to decorate
• maintaining front of house cleanliness throughout the day

• working in conjunction with our back of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards
• learning new decorating skills alongside experienced decorators
• learning how to write messages on cakes for customer orders
• keeping a check on the quality of cakes leaving the shop
• greet and deal with customer’s requests with a smile
• decorating cakes and slices for display and filling Display Fridges
• decorating customer orders
• serve customers and take payments using the cash register and card machine
• taking cake orders from customers
• end of day Kitchen cleaning with all staff, including mopping the kitchen floor
• working with a team of cake decorators in conjunction with our front of house team members to maintain the Cake Box standards
• answering the phone
• learning how to write messages on cakes
• boxing cakes and slices correctly
• cashing up at the end of each day
• end of day cleaning with all staff, including mopping the floor
