Education
- A-Level or equivalent
Responsibility
- leading on shifts with confidence
- general documentation including recording and reporting
- working closely with managers and senior members of staff to ensure a high standard of care is delivered
- building trusting, supportive relationships with young people
- assisting in the development of life skills, confidence and self-esteem
- supporting young people with their educational, social and emotional needs
- managing and de-escalating challenging behaviors in a compassionate and effective way
- encouraging positive routines and promoting a safe and nurturing environment
Requirements
- previous experience in a support or care role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care
- ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
- A valid driving license is advantageous for community-based support roles
- A Enhanced background check will be required prior to employment
- A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
