Responsibility
- ● Optimise the rehoming of individual animals, whilst also focusing on length of stay to maximise the number of animals helped
- ● Be part of the decision making process for welfare related issues
- ● Ensure that each animal is accurately behaviorally assessed and assigned the appropriate care and training plan
- ● Carry out and oversee daily husbandry tasks in both the cattery and sometimes in kennels. Including, feeding, cleaning, administering medication, exercising and socialising animals
- ● Facilitate each animal’s journey by collating and updating databases and other assessment documents with accurate data
- ● Carry out and oversee daily husbandry tasks in both the kennel and cattery departments, including, feeding, cleaning, administering medication, exercising and socialising animals
- ● Support the Welfare Operations Manager in providing operational supervision of the Animal Carers and volunteers, ensuring the highest standard of animal husbandry, care and enrichment is given, in line with ADCH Code of Practice and the Charity’s guidelines
- ● Manage the animal journey, from intake waiting list to adoption meets, including matching animals to their new homes and providing support and advice to new owners
