Responsibility
- manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- check daily bank transactions
- process all invoices in the correct companies using OCR scanning technology integrating with the finance software
- process all payments in a timely manner, managing cash flow requirements
- reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions, making sure every transaction has supporting documentation
- prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
- maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using cloud-based accounting software
- reconcile intercompany balances and cross charge group companies where required
Requirements
- proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Junior Accountant, having trained or worked under the supervision of an Accountant
- strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in order to meet deadlines
- good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A relevant accounting qualification is preferred but not essential
- familiarity with accounting principles, HMRC rules and accrual-based accounting
- A friendly proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving
