Responsibility
- leading a team of Residential Care Practitioners ensuring continuous improvement in performance and promoting the well-being of your team
- creating an environment and atmosphere within which the needs of young people can be met
- providing a positive living experience for all young people and provide appropriate care and support as identified in the Young Persons Care Plan/Personal Plan
- you will also support, supervise, and direct the staff team to ensure current legislation is followed and positive outcomes are achieved within working practice through open lines of communication
Requirements
- level 3 Health & Social Care Diploma
- have or be willing to work towards Diploma Level 4 in Leadership and Management and Professional Practice
- minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children/young people in a residential setting
- experience of leading and managing a Team of Residential Care Practitioners
- leadership & motivational skills
- awareness of the needs of children and young people in Children’s Homes
- understanding of intervention strategies
- understanding the principles and practical application of safeguarding and child protection
